It reminds me slightly of Jan Svankmajer - especially Flora and Food, lots of the same kind of themes. It seems to me as if the film is about synthesis between the human world and the plant world, but to what end I'm not entirely sure! Discussion welcome.
an externalized life cycle allows humans to exist within a cultural net. An anthropogenic creation that allows for really bad ideas such as god and really dumb questions like who am I? and What shall I do? Plants are endowed with a genetic that code that may be less adaptable but it allows them to get right to the point, survival with in a fairly stable ecological niche.
